Jason is a young, narcissistic, self proclaimed genius who grows increasingly weary of bios. (particularly his own). His practice is wide and varied due to a short attention span and covers dance, filmmaking, animation, digital architecture, teaching, photography, new media and interactive art.  He was worked for, and had commissions by, artists and companies such as the Bayerisches Staatsballet, Sydney Dance Company, Sydney Theatre Company, Opera Australia, TasDance, Dance North , the University of Technology , Sydney ,  Graeme Murphy , Fiona Malone and Jason Pitt .  His work has been exhibited at the Art Gallery Of New South Wales, Raw Space, Brisbane, West Space and the Australian Centre fo Moving Image Melbourne. He recently collaborated with Sue Healey on a dance installation 'As you take time' at Gallery 4A, Sydney. His short film, 'unfed` has shown at the Zebra Film Festival and Interfilm, Berlin, the Antipodean Festival in St Tropez, as well as other national and international festival and screenings.  To support his extravagant lifestyle he occasionally works in webdesign and human trafficking.  At some point he plans to have a real job.

Artist Statement

Armed with a Peter Pan complex, an affinity for darkness, a short attention span and an inability to sit still, I am drawn to beauty, the gritty, loneliness and alienation. I work in, between and through disciplines, combining dance, performance, animation, sound and moving image. In all my work I seek to evoke the hidden, inner landscape.
My current preoccupations are with decay - physical, mental, social and also notions of memory - collective, appropriated, and the location of memory.
Technically I am working on interactive technologies, computer vision, and virtual reality in performative contexts.
